SL, that's me. Steve Laurie. I've been writing songs since I was 14. My songs are a mixture of pop, rock, folk, gospel, a hint of reggae, some might say adult contemporary or folk rock or a plethora of other genres. On my website you'll find some tracks that were recorded at a studio and others, the majority, that were recorded in my kitchen or living room "studio".
The studio tracks resulted in a three song EP called New Shoes that was released in 2004. The rough cuts from the kitchen feature me, myself, and I, on various instruments and vocals, with the notable exception of some guest guitar performances by the one and only Gomez.
Below (yes, scroll down) you will see that you can join the mailing list to be notified when new songs are posted on the site. I highly recommend you join the list, but of course, what else could I recommend! I only use it to notify you when new songs are posted; songs that you can download for free. Yes, for free! How exciting!
